Americanism Essay Contest 2008-2009

The theme of the Americanism Essay Contest this year is "WHAT FREEDOM MEANS TO ME." Contestants from the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are to submit their essays before January 10th, 2009. We are hoping for a good turnout from all schools.
Any member of the Elks may pick up an entry form and pass it on to a child or grandchild or any other child in the local schools.
The first, second and third place winners from each grade level will be awarded savings bonds:$100 for first place, $50 for second and third places. These winners will proceed to the state and the national contests.
