Elks National Free Throw "Hoop Shoot" Contest

The Elks National "Hoop Shoot" Free Throw Program is open to all boys and girls, ages eight thought thirteen.

Over 3 Million Participants Annually.

Local Winners Advance to district, State, Regional and National Competition.

National Finals - Springfield, Mass.

National Champions Are Enshrined In the Basketball Hall of Fame.

All public and private schools within the jurisdiction of the local Elks Lodge are invited to participate in the elks National "Hoop Shoot" Free Throw Contest. Depending on interest, many school districts may participate in the Lodge contest.

San Mateo Elks "Hoop Shoot" ® Contest at Serra High School

The San Mateo Elks Lodge is sponsoring a National "Hoop Shoot" Free Throw contest. We cordially invite all students to participate. The "Hoop Shoot" contest will be held at Serra High School on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at 8:00 a.m. (Birth Certificate needed - please bring a copy!)

At the contest held at Serra High School, three (3) boys and three (3) girls from each age category will be selected to go to the next level, which are the Bay District Finals. The contest is open to boys and girls in the 8 and 9 age group, 10 and 11 age group, and the 12 and 13 age group. If your child is interested in competing in the Hoop Shoot, please register online or call (650) 345-4886 x 11 to register by phone.
We would like to have your results by Monday, January 5, 2009. Register now!

Place: Serra High School (451-20th Ave., San Mateo, CA 94403)

Date & Time: Saturday, January 10, 2009.

Warm-Up: 8:00-8:45 a.m.

Contest Begins: 9:00 a.m.

Please wear TENNIS SHOES.

Please DO NOT BRING BASKETBALLS as they are furnished.

In the event you are one of the six winners, we will need a copy of your BIRTH CERTIFICATE.
